Todd Deveau is a partner at Thomas Horstemeyer. With years of expertise, Todd has worked in all areas of intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, counterfeiting, copyrights, industrial designs, litigation and dispute resolution, unfair competition and false advertising, trade secrets, opinions consultation and review, Intellectual Property agreements, contracts and licensing, Intellectual Property portfolio management, and U.S. Customs and Border Patrol exclusions and seizures. Todd’s practice includes general intellectual property counseling for all types of clients, helping them to develop, protect, and maintain all aspects of their intellectual property and to enforce and defend their intellectual property rights.
Todd has drafted and negotiated numerous license and technology transfer agreements involving all types of inventions and technologies. He has prosecuted patent applications primarily in chemical, biochemical, mechanical, and electrical technologies. He has prosecuted trademark and design applications in the United States and throughout the world.
Todd is experienced in intellectual property litigation matters. He has successfully litigated as lead counsel in patent matters, as well as trademark, trade dress, copyright and trade secret matters, including computer software, unfair competition, and counterfeiting matters.
Todd has served as an Arbitrator on both single and multi-panel arbitrations and has served as a Special Master and a Mediator to assist the United States District Court.
Before practicing law, Todd served as a teaching fellow and a laboratory instructor in chemical engineering.
