Alex Fonzi is an associate in Thomas Horstemeyer’s prosecution group. Alex’s practice covers a wide array of software, computational, and digital technologies.
While attending law school, Alex was the President of the Vanderbilt Intellectual Property Association. He advised clients in the Vanderbilt Intellectual Property Clinic, helped manage an NSF Innovation Corps Start-up, developed trademark prosecution software adopted by the Vanderbilt IP practice group, and presented on quantum computing. He also wrote news summaries for an ABA Environmental, Energy, and Resources newsletter. Alex was a member of the Phi Delta Phi honor society.
Alex graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in Computer Science, specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Theoretical Computer Science. While there, Alex ran a section of the student government association’s technology wing, worked on a startup in Georgia Tech’s incubator, and did software consulting for a non-profit in Atlanta. After graduation, Alex worked for a tech-based home-care startup in Atlanta where he designed and managed the technical infrastructure.
