Emerson Phipps is a member of Thomas|Horstemeyer’s prosecution group. Emerson’s practice covers a wide array of electrical, computer, and mechanical technologies.
While in law school, Emerson completed a summer internship at a law firm where he drafted, filed, and negotiated patent applications. Emerson also spent a summer working at the University of Georgia’s technology transfer office, Innovation Gateway, where he analyzed and advanced the licensing of myriad technologies produced by university researchers.
Prior to entering law school, Emerson graduated from Southern Methodist University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He spent his summers working in engineering firms, gathering experience in software development, signal processing, optical fibers, circuits, and semiconductor technologies.
