Ragan Buckley is a member of the firm’s chemistry group. She has experience drafting patent applications in biotechnology and the chemical arts. She also has experience assisting with prosecution of applications at the USPTO and performs prior art searches.

Ragan is a graduate of Harvard University with a concentration in government in 2000 and of the University of Missouri at Kansas City with a double major in biology and chemistry in 2006. She has a Ph.D. in chemistry from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2012. Her research at Georgia Tech had an interdisciplinary focus on prebiotic chemistry and included separation and analysis of complex mixtures by liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry methods as well as biophysical characterization of the interaction of small molecules with non-standard DNA.

Ragan has 8 years of experience patent prosecution in several technology areas, including chemistry, biotechnology, and medical devices. Ragan joined Thomas|Horstemeyer in the summer of 2019 as a technical advisor.
