Ragan Buckley is a patent agent and member of the firm’s chemistry group. She is a graduate of Harvard University with a concentration in government in 2000 and a graduate of the University of Missouri at Kansas City with a double major in biology and chemistry in 2006. Ragan earned a Ph.D. in chemistry from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2012. Her research at Georgia Tech had an interdisciplinary focus on prebiotic chemistry and included separation and analysis of complex mixtures by liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry methods, as well as biophysical characterization of the interaction of small molecules with non-standard DNA.
Ragan has 12 years of experience in patent prosecution in several technology areas, including chemistry, biotechnology, materials science, and medical devices. Ragan joined Thomas|Horstemeyer in the summer of 2019 as a technical advisor and became a patent agent in 2020. She is involved in all aspects of patent prosecution before the USPTO.
